First of your crops. Mitzva 606 of the Torah is to bring from the first of our crops , every year to the Beis Hamigdosh.
We thank Hashem for it & remind ourselves who is the Owner !
We say every morning that this Mitzva has no specific measure.

Avoid Mixing

We have a series of Mitzvos in this Parsha on avoiding mixing such as Shatnes ( wool & linen ).
One of them is don't have 2 different animals work together such as an ox & a donkey.
Baal Haturim explains one reason is because the ox chews its cud thus the donkey will feel cheated - why does she get more food than me ?
This is a lesson in how we need to be sensitive to other peoples feelings. !
