Toys to Break

What is the purpose of toys for children ?
The Talmud , Yoma 78 b , explains it is essential for a child's wellbeing. Raboh would buy his children cheap , cracked earthenware items so that they would break them & satisfy their desires (Rashi ).

What a lesson for raising happy children !
