Drop of Salt

One is required to make a Shehakol blessing before eating even a drop of salt. Why ?
Mishna Brura 204:5 , because there is some benefit.

Taster's Choice

What if one is only tasting the food to see if it needs salt or other spices is a Bracha required ?

Some say no ,even if he does swallow it.
Others say yes if he swallows it.

Mishna Brura concludes the best approach - if he wants to swallow - to have in mind to also enjoy it as eating food & make a Brocha.
