When Yaakov was about to be attacked by his brother , he prepared himself in 3 ways-

Gift Giving , Prayer & for Battle.
These 3 are parallel to the 3 pillars of the world
Chesed , Avoda & Torah study which is the greatest weapon against the evil inclination.

The Equivalent

The hebrew word for money is Momon. It has the gematriya equivalent to the word - Sulam for ladder.
This teaches us that money can take a person up or down the ladder.
They both equal to 136.

Leah's Lessons

From the names Leah called her children we learn some of the greatest lessons of how to live our lives -

1- Hashem sees everything we do

2- Hashem hears everything we say
3- Always connect with your spouse who is your best physical friend.

3 Prayers

We learn that the 3 set times for daily prayer were established by the 3 Avos.

This teaches us how fundamental it is to pray at least 3 times a day. How can we accomplish anything without Hashems help. He is in control , we need His help every step of the way.

The First Verse

Yaakov left one place to go to another place.

We learn a basic lesson. We have Mitzvos to accomplish here while we are here and then more Mitzvos in the new place. See Rashi.
We need to ask ourselves daily what opportunities for growth do I have here today while I am here. ?
