First 3

The first 3 Makos , Blood , Frogs & Lice , were all brought about by Aaron not Moshe.
One of the lessons is because Moshe had a greater obligation of gratitude to the water & the earth.

This serves to remind us to thank Hashem for the water which pours out of the faucets when we use them. And to be thankful that you are standing on solid ground as you are reading this dvar Torah.

The Water Metaphor

The Talmud compares the Torah to Water.

It is a universal solvent , which can flow all over , nourish everything & pierce through , even stone. And like water , it can become stagnant & even poisonous if it is not allowed to flow freely.
