2 Types of Prayer

Some of our Prayers are compared to a sword & others are like a bow & arrow. See 48:22 & Targum.
Both are weapons that can be used for mass salvation , when we pray sincerely to the One in complete Control !

The Power of Blessings

He blessed them each according to their blessings.
If it was their potential anyway , why was it important for Yaakov Avinu to proclaim the blessing ?

Subject: The weak / strong

Why do we call the Righteous Jews weak in Al Hanisim if they were
actually strong ?

The Sidur HaGra explains that in their minds they realized that without
Hashems help we are always weak !
As when Yosef Hatzadik said - Bilodoi ! Its not my power.

Saying Thank You

If someone did you 10 favors , would it suffice to only thank them for 1 or 2 of them.
On Chanuka we need to wake up & see the lights to thank Hashem & appreciate the countless favors He is always performing for us.

Cost of Words

Yosef brought bad reports to Father.

Another Reason

The Angel did not divulge his name is because we must always realize that Hashem is running the entire world. Don't focus on the agents & miss the big picture.

Secret of No Name

Why did the Angel say to Yaakov - Why do you ask for my name ? 32:28

What is the point ?

This is explained that to protect ourselves from the Evil Inclination we need to know that he always has new disguises. The name will just confuse us. We need to focus on Torah study to learn how to deal with & overcome all of the ongoing challenges.

Answer

One who converted is considered as a newborn.

One who is in a position of authority is held responsible for those he represents.

Marriage is a formation of a new complete person.

But why does Rashi seem to omit one who forgives others who is also forgiven ( Rosh Hashana 17a ) ?
