Review - 17

We require 7 conditions before one is permitted to say constructive words -
1- To be sure of the facts

2- to be sure that there is no halachic justification for the seeming injustice.

3- first offer gentle rebuke

4- the intention should be only to help the unfortunate victim , to lessen the suffering of the victim ,
- to get people to avoid evil & improve their ways.
* This can only work if the speaker & the listeners are not guilty of the same sins they are denouncing.

5- there is no alternative to avoid the loshon hora or to delete the name of the perpetrator.
6 - The results will not be more than what Beis Din would decide if the case came to them.
7- don't exaggerate the crime.
Now may be a good time for a gem of Torah study.
