Mitzva to Recline

Why is reclining so significant that it is counted as one of the 4 questions which are used to zero in the great , fundamental lessons of Pesach ?

One reason is because it order to truly sit back & relax we need to recognize the reality that Hashem is in control always. He took us out of Egypt & He keeps on saving & guiding us. B. H.

Love Work & Love Shabos

How do we reconcile the Mishna that teaches us to love work with the Mitzva to Love Shabos ?

Work should be in order to help people which part of the Mitzva to love others. We should feel joy & fulfillment as we utilize our skill & creativity to assist others. Shabos teaches us why Hashem created people so that we can serve Him. Thus it connects with the work concept.

Salt Protection

We learn from this Parsha to have salt on the table when we eat & that it serves to protect us from harm.
What is the significance of salt & why is it so powerful ?

Tosfos explains that when Jews are waiting for each other they may be without Mitzvos , thus they need the salt covenant to help protect them.
This can be explained because salt is a composite of two ingredients , each of which is poisonous by itself , but together they are beneficial.
Thus it serves as a model that we need to always unite with others to help each other grow. That is one of the great lessons from salt.

How to Speak

The first Rashi in Vayikra teaches that before every time Hashem spoke to Moshe , He always began with a affectionate word.
This teaches how we should always begin our interactions with each other with words of endearment.
